Bell private mobile networks video script

1 min read

Bell wanted to produce a 90-second video to quickly communicate the benefits of its 5G private mobile network solutions for enterprises across all industries. The company tapped long-time content partner Ascribe to develop creative approach options for the video and then draft the script based on the Bell team’s final selection.

How Ascribe helped

Bell’s 5G private mobile network solutions offer the fast connection speeds, low latency and reserved capacity enterprises need to support modern, mission-critical applications. Our team had already written extensively on private mobile networks for Bell, developing articles, blogs, brochures, presentations and other material on this topic. This video was to be produced alongside a written case study (also authored by Ascribe) detailing how Bell’s 5G private mobile network enabled an innovative fan experience at the 2023 Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal: a miniature racetrack set up at the event, with remote-controlled cars raced by participants across Canada.

Bell wanted the case study and video to showcase the broader industrial applications for its private mobile network solutions. The miniature race was a compelling example of the power of private mobile networks. Though it took place during the Canadian Grand Prix and in the same venue, participants from across the country were able to race the remote-controlled cars with consistently high performance. This was all because the private network was shielded from public traffic — meaning the thousands of live attendees watching the real Formula 1 race didn’t affect the miniature race experience.

As an initial step, we developed three possible creative approaches for the video. Bell choose the option that blended scenes from the Canadian Grand Prix and the miniature race with stock footage of workers in industries such as mining, manufacturing and shipping. Using the race footage as a hook, the narration described how the same technology that made the fan experience possible could be used to benefit other industrial use cases. In addition to the full narration, our script included on-screen text to accompany key points as well as a suggested visual flow to facilitate production.

The final video is available for viewing on the Bell Knowledge Hub.
