CALL TO ACTION FOR A COMMUNITY ON THE GO: BARRHAVEN BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT ASSOCIATION
Barrhaven is a bustling residential community in the southwest end of Ottawa. In 2012, Barrhaven’s Business Improvement Association (BBIA) set out to establish a distinctive brand for the community — one that would speak to visitors, businesses and residents alike. Ascribe led the BBIA executive through a facilitated discussion to explore the characteristics that set Barrhaven apart. With convenience and variety topping the list, our team presented an initial set of tagline options. Following an open dialogue with the client, we zeroed in on a few leading candidates, with ‘Get busy in Barrhaven’ ultimately winning the day.
